It is always a practice of Manny Pacquiao to select the singer that will be singing the national anthem on every fights he have. In this Pacquiao vs. Mosley Unstoppable welterweight championship, he chose one of the great singer of the Philippines and this time a rising international singer of the country, Charice Pempengo who recently made her appearance in Glee, one of the popular TV series in the US.
The Filipino singer who is now known with his single name Charice expressed his excitement about singing the national anthem in the opening ceremony of this Top Rank/CBS/SHO Pacquiao vs. Mosley event. Yesterday, she expressed her gratitude to Pacquiao via her Twitter account. She said, “Thank you Sir. Manny Pacquiao for choosing me to sing the Philippine Nat’l Anthem for your fight. Feel really blessed ” which she twit viahttp://twitter.com/officialcharice after she got the news today.
