Pacquiao Now In Austrlalia, Set for Title Fight vs Horn

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao arrives in Brisbane, Australia a week before his title fight against Jeff Horn to have a light training session in the country as part of his preparation for the boxing event. The 38 year old boxer is accompanied by his trainer Freddie Roach and was escorted to his chartered A330 plane by military personnel in the Philippines. Along with Roach, he was also accompanied by his conditioning coach Justin Fortune, sparring partner George Kambosos Jr., and other members of his entourage which is about 160 people in total.


"Training is good, we did a lot of hard work, I am very excited for the fans to give a good show to show my best and in boxing ring, Some reports coming out of the Philippines that I haven't been training hard are not true . It just happens that when some of our friends came around to our training camp, we weren't doing much and people assumed I wasn't training hard." he told Australian Broadcasting Corp. radio.

Manny Pacquiao vs. Jeff Horn boxing match goes down in Australian history as the biggest fight since 1992 (i.e. Azumah Nelson vs Jeff Fenech boxing event which was witnessed by 38,000 boxing Australian fanatics).



This is after 40,000 tickets were sold out of the target audience of 55,000 capacity of the venue at Brisbane. "We always knew this fight would pack a punch for Brisbane. With 40,000 tickets already sold it will be the biggest boxing crowd ever seen in Australia. This fight also has the potential to host a record Suncorp Stadium crowd of 55,000 fans, with more than a month to go," Jones said
